Welcome. These terms ("Terms") apply when you download, install, or use the FindMyPhoneSMS Android application (the "App") or visit findmyphonesms.com (the "Site"). The App and Site are operated by Monaï Telecom ("we", "us"), registered in Lebanon.
By installing the App or paying for a license, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't install the App.
1. What you get
Free trial
Every install includes a free trial of three (3) trigger activations. Each time the trigger SMS fires the alarm, one trial use is consumed. After three uses, the App will not ring until you purchase a license.
Full license
A single one-time payment activates unlimited trigger activations on the specific Android device the license was purchased on. The license is identified by the device's Android ID - it does not roam automatically between devices, but see "Transferring your license" below.
What "unlimited" means
No artificial usage caps. We don't throttle, count, or rate-limit how often you trigger the alarm under a valid license. We do reserve the right to throttle clearly abusive patterns (for example, a single device firing thousands of triggers per day in what looks like an automated test).
2. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by CyberSource (a Visa Inc. company). The price displayed at checkout is the price you pay - no subscription, no recurring charges. Currency conversion fees, if any, are determined by your card issuer.
Refund window
If the App genuinely doesn't work on your phone after you've followed the setup guide and contacted us, we'll refund the license in full within 14 days of purchase. Email support@monaitelecom.com with your device model and a description of the problem.
Outside the 14-day window, refunds are at our discretion.
3. Transferring your license
A license is bound to one device. If you change phones, email support@monaitelecom.com from the address you used at purchase and we'll re-issue your license code for the new device.
Licenses are not for resale. We may revoke a license that is clearly being shared across many unrelated devices.
4. What you agree to
You agree to:
- Only use the App on a phone you own or have permission to install it on.
- Not redistribute the APK as if it were your own work, decompile it, or build a derivative product from it.
- Not use the App for surveillance - for example, installing it on someone else's phone without their knowledge, then triggering it to verify their phone's location by sound.
- "Find on map" (Pro): only enable live location tracking on a phone you own. Using it to track another person - a partner, child, employee, or anyone else - without their clear knowledge and consent is strictly prohibited and may be a criminal offence in your jurisdiction. We will cooperate with lawful requests and may disable any license used this way.
- Not test the App by mass-triggering it (the trial counts each ring, and abusive patterns may end the trial early).
5. What we promise (and what we don't)
We promise to make the App ring your phone when the trigger SMS arrives, assuming:
- You've granted the SMS-receive, notification, Do Not Disturb access, and battery-optimization permissions that the setup wizard walks through.
- The phone is powered on, has any cellular signal, and isn't in fully-disabled airplane mode.
- The phone isn't actively being killed by aggressive OEM battery managers without the right exceptions configured (Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo etc. - covered in the wizard).
We do not promise:
- That the App will work on phones with hardware faults, broken speakers, or third-party ROMs we have no way to test.
- Recovery of phones that are out of battery, smashed, or out of cellular range.
- Continuous service availability of our licensing backend during planned maintenance windows (which are rare and brief).
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the App or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the license (or zero, if you're on the free trial).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages - including the value of any phone you lose despite using the App.
7. Privacy
How we handle your data is documented separately in the Privacy Policy. Short version: we don't read or store your SMS messages, and the only data on our servers is your device ID, license code, and trial-use count.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate a license that's being used in breach of these Terms (e.g. proven distribution to unrelated devices, or use for surveillance). Where we do, we'll explain why and offer a chance to resolve it where reasonable.
9. Changes to these Terms
If we materially change these Terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify existing license holders by email (where you've provided one) or via an in-app message. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. Disputes that can't be resolved by friendly discussion will be heard by the courts of Beirut - except that consumers retain whatever mandatory protections they have in their country of residence.
